3 Jul - Put your killer red heels on, everybody, as "The Devil Wears Prada" sequel has begun filming. The sequel to the hit 2006 film was revealed to have started production this week, and will be shooting in New York and Italy. Anne Hathaway will return as Andy Sachs, with Meryl Streep reprising her Anna Wintour-inspired iconic role as Miranda Priestley. In addition to the two main stars, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci will also be returning as Priestley's exasperating assistant Emily Charlton and art director Nigel Kipling, respectively.
However, it was reported that Adrian Grenier, who played Andy's boyfriend Nate, will not be returning. The 2006 film was adapted from Lauren Weisberger's 2003 book of the same name. It tells the story of Andy Sachs, an aspiring journalist who finds herself being hired as a junior personal assistant at Runway, a fashion magazine helmed by the demanding editor-in-chief, Miranda Priestley.
The film made USD 326 million from a budget of USD 41 million at the worldwide box office and earned Streep an Oscar nomination.
