2 Dec - The new "Harry Potter" star Dominic McLaughlin recently admitted that he was over the moon after receiving a letter from his predecessor, Daniel Radcliffe.

In a recent interview with BBC's "Saturday Mash Up! Live", the 11-year-old actor said that it was "insane" upon getting the letter while on his train journey home to Glasgow.

"My Dad tapped me on the train and just gave me this letter. I read it and then I got to the bottom, and it said, 'Dan R.' I was going mad, but I had to [keep cool]. I was on the train," he enthused.

As to how filming has been going, McLaughlin responded, "It's going amazing, it's going really well. I've made good friends with everyone, it's great to be there."

It was last month that Radcliffe shared about the letter he wrote to the young actor.

"I do not want to be a spectre in the lives of these children. I just wanted to write to [McLaughlin] to say, 'I hope you have the best time, and an even better time than I did - I had a great time, but I hope you have an even better time. And I do. I just see these pictures of him and the other kids and I just want to hug them. They just seem so young. I do look at them and say, 'Oh it's crazy I was doing that.' But it's also incredibly sweet and I hope they're having a great time."
