11 Sep - Dwayne Johnson has recently addressed his recent weight loss that is getting noticeable, and assured that it was just for a movie role.

The actor, who recently received a standing ovation for his performance in Benny Safdie's "The Smashing Machine", appeared to be thinner when he appeared at the Toronto Film Festival, compared to his previous bulk self, that was further increased to play MMA fighter Mark Kerr.

When asked about it, Johnson revealed that he is prepping up for an upcoming role in Safdie's new project, "Lizard Music", which he described as a "whimsical, eccentric 70-something year-old" called Chicken Man.

"Benny pitched me this after. And after about 45 minutes, this pitch ended and I said, 'I am your Chicken Man'," he said.

However, the actor said that he has a long way to go before he can fully transform into the character.

"I'm so excited to get a chance to hopefully transform again like I was able to do in 'Smashing Machine'. [It means] eating less chicken," he joked.

"Lizard Music" is adapted from Daniel Pinkwater's book of the same name about a young boy becoming involved with a community of intelligent lizards who tell him of a little-known invasion from outer space.
