30 Apr - Aamir Khan has denied any involvement in the mock teaser of a Guru Nanak biopic that is supposedly starring the actor and actress Kareena Kapoor.

The actor found himself receiving a backlash from many, after a YouTube channel with no connection to any studio released a teaser video with Aamir dressing up as the founder of Sikhism.

The video, which was obviously AI-generated, sparked the anger of BJP leader in Punjab, prompting its spokesperson, Pritpal Singh Baliawal to file a complaint with the Supreme Gurdwara Management Committee and urge the Punjab Police, Cyber Cell, and security agencies to trace the perpetrators' IP addresses and make immediate arrests.

In response to the controversy, Aamir's rep released a statement, saying, "The poster showing Aamir Khan as Guru Nanak is completely fake and AI-generated. Aamir Khan has no connection to any such project."

"He holds the highest respect for Guru Nanak and would never be part of anything disrespectful. Please don't fall for fake news," the statement added.
