Fan Bingbing expresses her gratitude to her Malaysian cast and crew

25 Nov - After her Weibo post about her Golden Horse Best Actress win suddenly went missing from the platform, Fan Bingbing recently took to Instagram to share her heartfelt message about "Mother Bhumi".

On 24 November, the actress posted several photos from the Golden Horse Awards that she received from director Chong Keat Aun, and admitted to feel an indescribable feeling in her heart as she reminisced on the memories of filming "Mother Bhumi" in the state of Kedah, Malaysia.

Singing praises for Chong, she expressed, "The director always protected every actor's performance state in the kindest of ways. I never once heard him raise his voice, nor did I ever see a trace of impatience in him. Yet at the most critical moments, he could spark inspiration with just a soft reminder, bringing a character to life in an instant."

Saying that Chong is a filmmaker who knew all classic films like the back of his hand, Fan said that she has the utmost respect for him, adding, "I am deeply grateful that despite all the pressures, he always firmly supported me and believed in me."

She also acknowledged the whole team of the movie, saying, "Though the filming conditions were harsh, everyone in the Malaysian crew always had bright smiles on their faces, wholeheartedly devoted to the work they love."

"It was all of you who made it possible for this outstanding Malaysian film to come to life, creating a miracle and allowing the passion of Chinese-language filmmakers to be seen by the world."

Fan said that the brilliant rainbow in the Kedah sky will forever be the most beautiful scenery in her heart, and ended the post with a Malay sentence, "Saya sayang kamu semua banyak-banyak!" (I love you so much).
