Hugh Jackman's affair allegations have affected ticket sales

16 Jun – After deciding to not attend the Tony Awards recently to avoid the media scrutiny over his cheating scandal, it was reported that Hugh Jackman is dealing with another blow when it comes to his stage career following ex-wife's Deborra Lee Furness' public statement.

It was reported that Jackman's one-man show, "Hugh Jackman Live From New York with Love", which will return to Radio City Music Hall in New York on 20 and 21 June, has been struggling to sell tickets, with hundreds left to be sold.

It can be said that while most of the cheaper tickets have been sold, a lot more seats in the front sections are not being filled. The cheapest tickets also go from USD 80 on ticketing platform Vivid Seats and USD 69 on StubHub for the 20 June performance and USD 46 on 21 June.

Jackman's relationship with Sutton Foster was slammed by many

While the actor has received backlash over his divorce from Furness last year, it was the Australian actress' recent statement that dealt him the biggest blow as they finalised the divorce.

Furness' statement read, "My heart and compassion go out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal. It's a profound wound that cuts deep, however, I believe in a higher power and that God/the universe, whatever you relate to as your guidance, is always working FOR us," she stated.

"This belief has helped me navigate the breakdown of an almost three-decade marriage. I have gained much knowledge and wisdom through this experience. Even when we are presented with apparent adversity, it is leading us to our greatest good, our true purpose. It can hurt, but in the long run, returning to yourself and living within your own integrity, values and boundaries is liberation and freedom."

Deborra-Lee Furness recently broke silence about their divorce

It is noted that Jackman had since moved on with his "The Music Man" co-star, Sutton Foster, whom he was accused of having an affair with prior to his divorce.

Meanwhile, some netizens stated that his divorce was not the only reason why Jackman has been blasted by fans. His friendship with Ryan Reynolds, who was accused alongside wife Blake Lively of ruining Justin Baldoni's career, was among the reasons they mentioned as to why the actor has been receiving a cold shoulder, especially from his female fans.
