Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson to reprise roles in "Hunger Games" prequel"

12 Dec - Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson will return to the upcoming "Hunger Games" prequel, "Sunrise on the Reaping".

It was reported that while the prequel is set 24 years before the events of the original story, it is noted that author Suzanne Collins did write a scene in the prequel book, where Katniss and Peeta (starring the aforementioned stars) listen to Haymitch (Woody Harrelson) as the character shares his experience in the Hunger Games.

Lionsgate has not confirmed the reports, but it is noted that Hutcherson earlier expressed his interest to return when asked about the prequel.

"No, I know nothing in that world right now. Hunger Games is amazing, and I've loved it for many years and I will love it forever," he said.

As previously reported, "Sunrise on the Reaping" is set around the 50th Hunger Games aka the Second Quarter Quell, and tells the story of Haymitch Abernathy, a resourceful boy from District 12 who is chosen as one of the 48 children sent to battle for their lives.

The movie has cast Joseph Zada to play the character made popular by Harrelson in the original.
