25 Jul - Lindsay Lohan plans to do more serious roles in the future, having been doing comedies since her return to showbiz.

The actress, who spoke to reporters at the LA premiere of "Freakier Friday" recently, said that she is doing a TV show with streamer Hulu that she is excited about.

"I'd like to take on some more serious, dramatic roles. And I love doing romantic comedy because that's where my home is and I feel like where my fans want to see me, but I'd like to take on some things that are different; maybe find something that's an action-packed film. Just really show people a different side of me," she said.

It is noted that Lohan's last serious role was playing a supporting role in the 2019 supernatural horror VOD film, "Among the Shadows".

Meanwhile, the actress is excited about the new film, saying that the "Freaky Friday" sequel is "bigger".

"It's a four-way swap and there's more music and there's a lot more physical comedy than the first one, which I love. Any moment that I can pull a Lucille Ball, I'm down for it," she added.

The movie is set to be released on 8 August.
