"Luck My Life" begins principal photography for CNY 2026


"Luck My Life" to be released during CNY 2026
9 Oct - Chinese New Year comedy "Luck My Life", directed by Eric Wong, kicked off principal photography today with a Lensing Ceremony, where the main cast was officially unveiled!

Held at the Huang Clan Association Grand Ballroom, the ceremony was attended by a refreshing cast of rising Mediacorp Artiste Richie Koh, accomplished powerhouse performer Tay Ping Hui, veteran Yang Shi Bin, influencer Cynthia Li, Youtuber Rurusama, YES 933 DJ Tan Ting Fong, Nick Shen and Joey Swee.

Also at the ceremony were Charlene Huang, Franster Wong, Jaylene Hong and Ben Logan who add to the energy and star power of the wholesome CNY comedy written by prolific screenwriter Ivan Ho.

The collaboration between these celebrated personalities, spanning generations of Singaporean talent, is one of the film's major highlights, promising dynamic and explosive on-screen chemistry.

Recently nominated for the Best Leading Actor at 62nd Golden Horse Awards, Richie Koh shared, "I'm looking forward to connect and build chemistry with the entire team as we bring this project to life".

Tay Ping Hui, who last worked with Richie Koh in KOPITIAM DAYS' "Dragon Gate Assembly" added, "I have collaborated with Eric and Richie in previous projects. I know what they are capable of and I am truly excited to be able to contribute to this movie. I look forward to working with everyone for sure!"

"Luck My Life" tells the story of an arrogant mahjong player who loses all his luck and has to re-learn the game and will soon discover the joy and principles of life over the mahjong table. The final match will be his one shot to turn his life around.

The movie is slated for release in Singapore during Chinese New Year 2026.
