Mads Mikkelsen's Bond villain Le Chiffre crosses into Hitman Universe

Mads Mikkelsen reprises his "Casino Royale" role as a voice talent

9 Jun - Mads Mikkelsen is reprising his role as the James Bond villain Le Chiffre, but not for another Bond movie.

It was recently reported that video game maker 10 Interactive is working with Amazon MGM Studios to bring the villainous private banker to the "Hitman" world, as the character will be featured as the new Elusive Target for the title.

This crossover will be available on "Hitman" update across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, and the newly launched Nintendo Switch 2, with the campaign going through until 6 July.

The announcement was first made at the Summer Game Fest

It was reported that the crossover is done in part to promote the release of IO's forthcoming Bond game made with Amazon MGM Studios, "007 First Light".

Mikkelsen will be returning as the "Casino Royale" character by way of his voice work, as he lends his voice to the character.

The game company explained, "Mads Mikkelsen returns as Le Chiffre, the iconic private banker to the criminal underworld, known for his mastery of games of chance and probability. A recent failed venture left him in dire straits, losing vast sums of both legitimate and illicit capital, and in a desperate bid to recover, he has arranged a high-stakes poker game at the Casino Monarchique in Paris. Agent 47 has been tasked with infiltrating the perilous event and will have to find his way to his target to prevent havoc being wreaked across the world."
