3 Jul - Public reactions were mixed after Sean "Diddy" Combs was convicted of transportation to engage in prostitution, but was acquitted of his most serious charges of racketeering and sex-trafficking.

Although the rapper and music mogul could face two decades behind bars max for both charges, his team seemed overjoyed by the verdict, seeing it as the best outcome for him. Diddy himself was seen pumping his fist and mouthing "thank you" to the jurors.

It was revealed that a panel of 12 jurors deliberated for 13 hours before acquitting Diddy of the aforementioned charges, which carry a maximum sentence of life in prison.

However, Judge Arun Subramaniam has denied bail to Diddy as he awaits sentencing, citing his history of violence. The rapper will have to remain behind bars until 3 October, when the sentencing will be tentatively held.

The verdict came following an eight-week trial that featured 34 witnesses testifying against Diddy.
