7 Jul - Celebrated musician Ringo Starr recently admitted that he had been actively involved in the upcoming four-part biopics of his famous band, The Beatles. The drummer, who spoke to New York Times recently, revealed that he actually spent two days with director Sam Mendes going over the script line by line to ensure his version of the movie will be more accurate to his personal life and experiences. "He had a writer, very good writer, great reputation, and he wrote it great, but it had nothing to do with Maureen and I," said Starr, referring to his first wife, Mary Cox aka Maureen Starkey. "That's not how we were. I'd say, 'We would never do that.'"
Starr said that after making the revisions, he is happier with the script, adding, "He'll do what he's doing and I'll send him peace and love."
