19 Sep - Shawn Levy has recently shared the first photo of Ryan Gosling in his first ever "Star Wars" film, "Starfighter".

On 17 September, the filmmaker posted a photo of the actor in costume alongside his co-star Flynn Gray, complete with his dishevelled hair, and captioned it, "Somewhere in the Mediterranean Sea #Starfighter."

The project was one of the projects confirmed by Disney previously aside from "The Mandalorian & Grogu", and is said to set roughly five years after the events of the 2019 film, "The Rise of Skywalker".

"The reality is that this script is just so good. It has such a great story with great and original characters," said Gosling told the crowd at the Star Wars Celebration in Tokyo earlier this year. "It's filled with so much heart and adventure, and there just really is not a more perfect filmmaker for this particular story than Shawn."

The upcoming film also co-stars Matt Smith, Mia Goth, Aaron Pierre, Simon Bird, Jamael Westman, Daniel Ings and Amy Adams with the release date being 28 May 2027.
