13 Nov - Oh, my God! It looks like Sabrina Carpenter will be returning to her acting roots by leading her first big movie musical at Universal Pictures.

The pop star is set to star in a film inspired by Lewis Carroll's "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland," to be written and directed by Lorene Scafaria of "Hustlers" and "Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist" fame.

Sabrina will also be producing the currently-untitled picture, along with Marc Platt of Marc Platt Productions.

The singer, who made her debut in 2012's "Noobz," became a household name after playing Maya Hart in Disney's "Girl Meets World".

This year, her new album, "Man's Best Friend" earned six Grammy nominations, including Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year.
