24 Apr - Saif Ali Khan recently confirmed that he has recently invested in a property in Qatar.

Sharing this piece of information at a press event, the Bollywood actor said that he has bought a place at the St Regis Marsa Arabia Island in The Pearl, as he was drawn to the concept of an island within an island.


"I visited the property while working on a project, stayed there, and found it to be an extraordinary blend of privacy and opulence. The food and the thoughtfully designed menu added to the experience. In essence, it felt like a home away from home, which made my decision much easier," he added.

Saif said that he has several conditions when it comes to a second home or a holiday getaway, including safety and sense of comfort.

This safety and sense of comfort seemed to be a huge priority to the actor, who was hospitalised in January following a knife attack at his home in Mumbai.

On 16 January, the actor was repeatedly stabbed with a knife by an intruder, who broke into his 12th floor Bandra flat. He was discharged five days after undergoing emergency surgery at Lilavati Hospital.
