13 Oct - Sigourney Weaver recently revealed that there has been talks about a new "Alien" movie, more than 40 years since the first movie was released.

Speaking to the crowd at the New York Comic Con recently, the actress said that producer Walter Hill has shown her a 50-page new script of a new "Alien" movie showing where her character Ripley would be now.

"They are quite extraordinary. I don't know if it's going to happen, but I have had a meeting with Fox, Disney, or whoever it is now. I said I have never felt the need. I was always like, 'Let her rest, let her recover.' But what Walter has written seems so true to me as very much about the society that would incarcerate someone who has tried to help mankind," she said.

She added, "She's a problem to them, so she's sort of tucked away. Anyway, I think it's a very strong first 50 pages, and I'm thinking about working with Walter to see what the rest of the story would be."

The 1979 "Alien" was the third ever movie Sigourney Weaver had starred in and marked her first ever lead role in an action movie.

The original movie, based on a story by O'Bannon and Ronald Shusett, follows a commercial starship crew who investigate a derelict space vessel and are hunted by a deadly extraterrestrial creature.
