16 Apr - Sivakarthikeyan's new movie, "Madharasi" has recently announced its release date.

On 14 April, the actor posted the movie's brand-new poster which bears the image of his character and of multiple vehicle collision, with the date 5 September and the word "in theatres worldwide" written on top.


The film, directed by AR Murugadoss, marks Sivakarthikeyan's 26th film, and will be screened in time with Teacher's Day in India.

The film co-stars Biju Menon, Vidyut Jammwal and Rukmini Vasanth among others. It is produced by N. Srilakshmi Prasad under Sri Lakshmi Movies.

Murugadoss previously spoke about the film, saying that the unique element in the movie concerns the actor's character.

"However, I feel it's too early to reveal what it is now. All I can say is that his character will be unusual," he said.

On the other hand, the actor will be seen next in Sudha Kongara's "Parasakthi", which co-stars Sreelela and Ravi Mohan.
