4 Nov - Turning 60 on 2 November, Shah Rukh Khan opted to celebrate his birthday with selected fans at a private event, instead of making an appearance on his balcony to thousands of fans outside of his home, Mannat in Bandra.

The actor, who would usually hold a meet and greet outside his luxury home, instead chose to celebrate the day at the Bal Gandharva Rang Mandir auditorium in Bandra, with fans attending holding passes distributed by fan clubs.

In a video he shared from the event on social media, he expressed, "Thank you for making my birthday special as always. Full of gratitude... and those of you I couldn't meet, I will see you soon. In the theatres and at the next birthday. Love u..."

It was revealed that the event also became a promotional event of some sort, with SRK screening the teaser of his new movie, "King".

When asked why he didn't greet fans outside of Mannat this year, SRK expressed, "Have been advised by authorities that I will not be able to step out and greet all you lovely people who have been waiting for me. My deepest apologies to all of you but have been informed that it is for the overall safety of everyone due to crowd control issues."

So the actor held a special event with fans in a venue instead this year. Check out the clip below:
