27 Aug - It is finally happening for Miss Swift, who recently announced that she is now engaged to her professional American footballer boyfriend, Travis Kelce. Taylor shared the news in a joint-post with Kelce, which had them sharing photos from the proposal where Kelce got on one knee in a rose garden.
"Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married," they captioned the photos, seemingly referring to a joke made by Swifties about the dynamics between the two. She also reposted the photos on her Instagram Story with the background song being her song, "So High School".
The announcement came just as Taylor made her first podcast appearance alongside Kelce on his "New Heights" podcast that he hosted with brother Jason Kelce, and joked that the podcast "got me a boyfriend." The two started dating shortly in summer 2023 after Kelce spoke on the podcast about his failed attempt to give Taylor a friendship bracelet with his number on it at her Kansas City Eras Tour stop. Taylor stated that after the clip went viral, she felt like "he was standing outside of my apartment, holding a boom box saying, 'I want to go on a date with you,' and was encouraged by family and friends to reach out to Kelce.
