Teaser trailer for Michael Jackson's biopic gets more than 100 million views

10 Nov - It is not Michael Jackson without anything related to the name breaking some type of records, as it was reported that the first teaser trailer to the biopic, "Michael" has now been viewed over 116.2 million globally.

The number, released by WaveMetrix, has now made the movie the most-viewed trailer for any music biopic in history and Lionsgate's largest trailer debut.

The teaser trailer, which sees Jaafar Jackson, Michael's own nephew, portraying the King of Pop, features several scenes of Jaafar as Michael in many of his era, from "Thriller" to "Billy Jean".

Several other cast members seen in the trailer include Kendrick Sampson as Quincy Jones, Miles Teller as attorney John Branca, Colman Domingo as Joe Jackson, and Nia Long as Katherine Jackson.

The official synopsis read, "The film tells the story of Michael Jackson's life beyond the music, tracing his journey from the discovery of his extraordinary talent as the lead of the Jackson Five, to the visionary artist whose creative ambition fueled a relentless pursuit to become the biggest entertainer in the world. Highlighting both his life off-stage and some of the most iconic performances from his early solo career, the film gives audiences a front-row seat to Michael Jackson as never before. This is where his story begins."
