21 May - Tom Cruise recently revealed that he is currently working on developing the stories for his next projects, which is the follow-up to "Top Gun: Maverick" and the sequel to his 1990 film, "Days of Thunder". The actor, who spoke to Australia's Today while promoting "Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning", said that he and his team are "thinking and talking" about many different stories and what they could do. "It took me 35 years to figure out 'Top Gun: Maverick', so all of these things we're working on, we're discussing 'Days of Thunder' and 'Top Gun: Maverick' [sequel]. There's numerous other films that we're actively working on right now. I'm always shooting a film, prepping a film, posting a film," Cruise said.
He also revealed that he had just finished a project with Alejandro Iñárritu, which has yet to reveal its title. The film is expected to be released in October next year. "That was an extraordinary experience and [Christopher McQuarrie] and I are always working on several different films," he added.
In a previous interview, Cruise said that he wants to continue acting into his 100s, and enthused, "I will never stop. I will never stop doing action, I will never stop doing drama, comedy films. I'm excited."
