3 Jan - It looks like fans of Thalapathy Ajith has to wait a little bit longer, as it was revealed that his new movie, "Vidaa Muyarchi" will not be released on Pongal as it was previously announced.

The news was confirmed by Lyca Productions, the maker of the film via a tweet that read, "Wishing everyone a Happy New Year 2025! Due to unavoidable circumstances, the release of Vidaamuyarchi is postponed from Pongal! Kindly stay tuned for further updates!"

"The wait will be worth it," it added.

No news as to why the movie has been postponed from its original release date, which was supposed to be sometime between 14 and 15 January.

The movie, directed by Magizh Thirumeni, stars Ajith Kumar as a man who ventures into a notorious desert area in search of his missing wife, only to uncover a dangerous web controlled by a ruthless gangster.

It also stars Arjun Sarja, Trisha, Regina Cassandra and Arav among others.
