"Wicked" gets most nominations at SAG Awards


"Wicked" scores nominations for cast, stunts and individual performances
9 Jan - "Wicked" is leading the upcoming 2025 SAG Awards, as it was revealed that the musical has earned five nominations overall.

The movie, which stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande in the lead, is nominated for the Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture category, which also sees competition from "Emilia Perez" that previously bested "Wicked" at the Golden Globes.

The film also gets a nomination for Best Actress (Cynthia Erivo), Best Supporting Actress (Ariana Grande), Best Supporting Actor (Jonathan Bailey) and Best Stunt Ensemble.

Aside from "Wicked", the Timothee Chalamet-starrer "A Complete Unknown" landed four nominations, followed by "Emilia Perez" and "Anora" with three.

SAG Awards was originally scheduled to make the live announcement on 8 January, but was cancelled due to the wildfires raging across parts of Los Angeles.
