20 Apr - Charles Dance is set to join fellow British actor Robert Pattinson in the upcoming sequel to "The Batman".

As reported on Deadline, the actor, most known globally as Tywin Lannister from "Game of Thrones," is reportedly in talks to play Charles Dent, father to Gotham district attorney Harvey Dent.

Harvey Dent will be played by Sebastian Stan, with Scarlett Johansson playing Dent's wife.

DC Studios is keeping mum on the information.

The upcoming film will begin production in spring, and is scheduled to premiere in October 2027. This will be the first "The Batman" film produced under James Gunn and Peter Safran's management.

Dance was last seen on screen playing Dr. Frankenstein's father in Guillermo del Toro's "Frankenstein".
