6 Jul - It looks like Disney is not stopping on the sequel train, as it was reported that there may be a movie number three for its hit animated franchise, "Moana".

The news was shared by Dwayne Johnson, who voiced Maui in the first two movies, as he was promoting the live-action version of the movie recently.

"Yes, we have talked about 'Moana 3'," Johnson said at a press conference in Rio de Janeiro. "But first, live-action 'Moana,' we'll let that come out first."

He also stated that Jared Bush and Dana Ledoux Miller, who wrote the screenplay for "Moana 2," will pen the third film.

The first Moana film made USD 687.2 million at the box office when it was released in 2016. Its sequel, however, bagged USD 1.059 billion at the box office when it came out two years ago.

Meanwhile, the live-action adaptation is set to be released on 10 July.
