23 Jan - With two Oscar nominations this year to her name, Emma Stone has now broken several records with her movie, "Bugonia".

The Oscar darling has recently been nominated in two categories - Best Actress for her performance in the Yorgos Lanthimos film, as well as Best Picture, being one of the producers of the movie.

At 37 years old, Stone is now the second youngest person, lost only to Walt Disney who did it at 34, to accumulate seven Oscar nominations throughout her career. She also bested Meryl Streep, who was previously the youngest actress to be nominated for the seventh time at 38.

In addition, she is now the first woman to be nominated twice for producing and acting in a single film, having also been nominated for acting and producing 2023's "Poor Things," which was also helmed by Yanthimos.

It is noted that Stone has won Best Actress twice already, for 2016's "La La Land," as well as 2023's "Poor Things". The actress with the most Best Actress wins was the legendary Katharine Hepburn, who won four, with Frances McDormand and Meryl Streep winning three.

However, Stone will have to face tough competition in the Best Actress category, what with Jessie Buckley and Rose Byrne both having won the Golden Globes previously for "Hamnet" and "If I Had Legs I'd Kick You", respectively.
