9 Mar - Kareena Kapoor recently shared her two cents regarding Deepika Padukone's statement demanding a more structured working hours in the film industry.

The actress, who sat down for an interview with THR India recently, said that there is a need for a good communication between actors and producers, like how she did while filming "The Buckingham Murders" in London.

"If you are married and have children, and as a woman, if you do not want to give that time, you should be able to say that this is what I want. I can work this number of hours. I think it's completely fine to say that way before a film starts. You have to be honest," she said.

At the same time, Kareena said that an actor needs to have an openness to accept that things might not go as planned some days.

As for Deepika's suggestion for an eight-hour shift, the actress said that actors need partners who understand their commitment and know when to walk away from a project.

The topic of an eight-hour work shift sparked last year, after the new mother was reported to have walked away from Sandeep Reddy Vanga's film, "Spirit" after failing to negotiate a share in profits and an eight-hour work shift.
