Karthi and Mohan Raja announce new project together

5 Aug - Karthi is set to star in a new movie, to be helmed by director Mohan Raja.

The news was shared by the "Godfather" filmmaker, who is making his directorial return four years after the film.

In a social media post on 3 August, the director shared a photo of him and Karthi holding a bouquet of flowers, writing, "By the blessings of my parents, my family, and all your love, I've always been showered with good work."

"Now, my 11th directorial in the 25th year of my career becomes even more special - as I join hands with my dear brother, [Karthi]. I have no words to thank you all for always standing by me. Please bless me in this journey too," he added.

Karthi has also reposted the announcement, writing, "Very happy to collaborate with you in your 25th year of cinema, brother."

No further information has been released about the project, except that it is being produced by Prince Pictures, which is also backing Karthi's upcoming film, "Sardar 2", to be released in September.

Mohan Raja's last directorial effort was 2022's "Godfather"
