6 Jan - If there is one project that Kristen Stewart would love to direct, it would be the remake of her hit movie series, "Twilight".

The 35-year-old actress, who made her feature film directorial debut with 2025's "The Chronology of Water," spoke about the franchise with Entertainment Tonight at Variety's 10 Directors to Watch and Creative Impact Awards, and shared as much when it was suggested that she helmed a remake.

"I love what Catherine [Hardwicke] did, I love what Chris [Weitz] did, I love what all of the directors did with the movies," she said. "They were so themselves and weird and kind of like, squirrelly, and just so present in that time when they didn't really know what they were yet, like before they blew up."

"Imagine if we had a huge budget and a bunch of love and support. I don't know... I would love to readapt. Yeah, sure, I'll do the remake. I'm doing it! I'm committed!" she enthused.

Stewart, who started her career as a child actor, rose to popularity when she was cast to play Bella Swan in the "Twilight" franchise, which had five movies between 2008 and 2012.

During that period, she worked with four different directors, starting with Catherine Hardwicke for the first movie, followed by Chris Weitz, David Slade, and Bill Condon - the latter who helmed the last two films.
