9 Jul - Lokesh Kanagaraj has dismissed the notion that he is moving away from the LCU (Lokesh Cinematic Universe), now that he is preparing for his acting debut in "DC".

The filmmaker, who addressed the rumours at a recent public event, said that he can never conclude the LCU, especially since it was a title that was given by the fans.

"I may even close the G Squad if the situation demands it, but I can never close the LCU... even today, I continue to follow the idea," he said.

Lokesh also revealed that he is committed to directing the sequels to his LCU movies, including "Kaithi 2" and "Vikram 2".

"After I finish Allu Arjun's film, I will come back to these projects," he said, adding that another movie, "Benz" under his banner will also be a part of the LCU.

The Lokesh Cinematic Universe started with "Kaithi" in 2019, followed by "Vikram," which connects with characters from the former. The drug cartel storyline was further expanded in "Leo" in 2023.
