Mari Selvaraj's "Manjanathi" begins production, reunites director with Kathir

The Kathir-starrer held its pooja ceremony on 7 September

9 Sep - Production has now begun for Mari Selvaraj's "Manjanathi".

On 7 September, the production team held a traditional pooja ceremony, attended by the stars of the movie, including Kathir, Priyanka Mohan and Kayadu Lohar.

This project also marks the reunion between Mari Selvaraj and Kathir, who previously starred in the director's directorial debut, "Pariyerum Perumal" in 2018.

It also reunites Kathir with his "Lingam" co-star, Poornima Ravi.

In addition to the cast announcement, Mari also revealed on social media that the music will be helmed by the great Ilaiyarajaa, writing on X, "Our eternal gratitude and love to our music genius who has inaugurated the days of Manjanathi from today!!"

This will be the first time that the director and the music composer work together.

No further details have been released about the movie.
