9 Jun - It looks like Nithya Menen is on her way to transitioning into becoming a filmmaker.

This piece of information was revealed by director Pandiraj, who collaborated with the actress in the Vijay Sethupathi-starrer, "Thalaivan Thalaivii," saying that the actress has begun writing her own movie of which she hopes to direct.

"She is a wonderful writer. When we were working together, I have narrated four films to her. When fight scenes are ongoing, I would sit with her and share stories. Nithya isn't just a good actor, she will soon become a great writer and a director," he added.

It is noted that earlier this year, the actress has also launched her own production banner, Keyuri Productions.

Nithya was last seen in 2025's "Idly Kadai," which was produced, penned and directed by Dhanush. The experience of seeing an actor doing everything in front of and behind the scenes could have inspired her to do the same.
