8 Jul - Actor-filmmaker Pradeep Ranganathan is expanding his resume by stepping into film production.

On Monday, the multi-hyphenate announced the launch of his own production banner, PR Show, along with its maiden project, tentatively titled "PRS1".

What sets the film apart is the fact that the movie will not be helmed by a single director, but will be written and directed by a six-member collective known as The Alpha Unit. The group consists of Pradeep's former assistant directors; Yash V, Vishal TR, Naren Saoda, Chanakkiyan R, Dhanush Kumar and Ilamparithi.

This also marks the first-of-its-kind collaboration, as there has never been a feature film jointly written and directed by six filmmakers.

It is noted that the story for the film has been conceived by Pradeep, who is also producing the project.

Pradeep also shared the news via social media with the first launch video, revealing its stars Mamitha Baiju, Ashwath Marimuthu, Swasika and Anamika Mahi among others.
