30 Mar - "Project Hail Mary" continues to perform at the box office, as it surpasses the USD 300 million mark in its second weekend.

The movie, starring Ryan Gosling in the lead, made another USD 54.5 million to its North American box office, bringing a current total of USD 164.3 million in just 10 days.

Internationally, it made USD 136.2 million, bringing together both to a total of more than USD 300 million.

The movie earlier made a record of itself, having gained USD 80.6 million in its three-day opening, behind only "Oppenheimer" at USD 82.5 million to be the second best opening in a decade for a non-sequel or franchise title.

It also became Gosling's top-grossing film of all time as a lead.

Directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller and written by Drew Goddard, the movie is based on the 2021 novel by Andy Weir, and tells the story of Ryland Grace, a man who awakens on an interstellar spacecraft with no memory of how he came to be there.
