Rajkumar Hirani confirms "Munna Bhai 3" is still in the works

2 Jul - Rajkumar Hirani recently revealed that he has been working on the third instalment of his hit franchise, "Munna Bhai," but he is unsure as to when the project will begin production or if it will ever be.

Speaking to India Today recently, the filmmaker, who is also known for movies like "PK" and "3 Idiots," stated that he has no intention of making a sequel until he is completely satisfied with his script.

"It's in the works, but I really can't defend myself too much because it's been in the works for a very long time. But we keep picking it up and spending some time on it. So, it's like [we are] inching closer," he said.

Rajkumar stressed that he definitely wants to make a sequel, but would not be happy with just a substandard one.

"I will do it only when we believe it's a great script now," he said.

As for his other hit movie, "PK," the director said that he has thought about that too, as well as another season for his series, "Pritam and Pedro".
