14 Apr - It seems that promoting in India wasn't enough, as the "Ramayana" team decided to head out to the United States to bring the first part of the film to CinemaCon 2026.

It was reported that producer Namit Malhotra and leading man Yash have taken the movie to the event in Las Vegas, which is being held from 13 to 16 April.

The movie will be separated into two parts, with the first one to be released on Diwali 2026 and the second part a year later.


Aside from the head-turning artwork that was displayed in the venue, fans also shared a promotional material which stated, "CinemaCon delegates are invited to experience one of the most ambitious theatrical productions currently in post-production and slated for worldwide theatrical release this year Ramayana, a sweeping mythological epic filmed for IMAX and designed as a global tentpole event."

"From the 5,000-year-old myth that continues to shape culture across continents, Ramayana is being crafted as a cinematic spectacle for modern audiences combining large-format filmmaking, cutting-edge visual effects by 8-time Academy Award-winning VFX studio DNEG, and an unprecedented musical collaboration between Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman."

CinemaCon also revealed that the Ramayana team will host private previews and open house conversations in the Milano III Ballroom, offering a first look at the scale, vision, and global release strategy for the film.

DNEG CEO, Producer and creative visionary behind the Ramayana franchise, Namit Malhotra, major film star and producer Yash, and members of the Prime Focus Studios executive team will be available during the week to connect with partners interested in the film's journey.
