22 Jul - It looks like Ryan Reynolds is not going to let go of his biggest goldmine that is Deadpool, as the actor revealed that the character will return in a future project.

The actor-producer shared that information during a recent appearance at Fanatic Fest 2026, saying, "There's a few really deep cuts that I think are missing behind the movies. I think there's a few deep cuts missing from some of the comics. There's certainly some stuff that, you know, I love that Fabian Nicieza [co-creator of Deadpool] wrote that is incredible. Gerry Duggan, who was a friend, was an incredible comic writer."

"There's stuff upcoming. There's eventually, you know, remotely another Deadpool film. It's going to be great," he added.

Reynolds, however, shared no further details whether the antihero character will be appearing in a solo movie or in an ensemble film.

The statement came after his previous interview, which he said that he did not see another Deadpool movie following 2024's "Deadpool & Wolverine".

"Centring Deadpool works best if you take everything away from him and put his back against the wall. I can't really do that again," he said, adding that making a fourth movie would feel a bit iterative and redundant.

It is noted that "Deadpool & Wolverine," which co-stars Hugh Jackman, made USD 1.3 billion globally when it was released in 2024.
