5 May - The team of "SK26," the film project that will star Sivakarthikeyan and helmed by Venkat Prabhu, has dismissed the notion that the movie has been shelved.

A rep of Sathya Jothi Films, which announced the project earlier, has confirmed that the movie is still in development, and that they are still working on the script.

"I read the script thoroughly and felt the need for something to be added in the second half. Sivakarthikeyan also felt the same, and Venkat Prabhu needed time to make the changes. The project is very much under development, and the pre-production process is going on," said the producer.

At the same time, they also revealed that they are now in talks to get renowned composer AR Rahman to work on the score for the movie.

"We've always wanted to collaborate with AR Rahman sir, but somehow it has never materialised. We've planned to rope him for this film."

On the other hand, the movie may no longer be referred to as "SK26," seeing that the actor has already another filmed "Seyon," which will be released in October. The movie marks his 26th film overall.

"Seyon" is now considered Sivakarthikeyan's 26th film
