9 Apr - Amid rumours that Salman Khan reworked on his previously titled "Battle of Galwan" war movie into a story of peace, it was recently revealed that the film was never supposed to be a typical war film in the first place.

According to India Today, the said movie, which has been renamed "Maatrubhumi," is being made to send a message of peace, despite its setting being the 2020 Indo-China conflict.

An insider stated, "For someone who has delivered a film like 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan,' Salman has always believed in the power of cinema to unite rather than divide. He has consciously stayed away from narratives that glorify war for the sake of spectacle."

"If you look at his body of work, there's a consistent thread of stories that champion peace, compassion, and humanity above conflict," they added.

It was also reported that Salman decided to change the title after many assumed that the film will be all about the said battle.

"The team wanted to assure audiences that the film would in no way glorify war, as their intention has always been completely opposite," the source added.

"Maatrubhumi" was originally set to be released on 10 April, but has now been delayed to an indefinite date.
