1 Apr - The upcoming Prime Video adaptation of "Tomb Raider" has currently paused production, after its star Sophie Turner sustained an injury.

The British actress, who is playing the iconic video game character Lara Croft, was earlier revealed to have sustained a minor injury, which, however, has aggravated a pre-existing back injury.

A rep for Prime Video stated, "As a precaution, production has briefly paused to allow her time to recover. We look forward to resuming production as soon as possible."

Production reportedly will shut down for at least a month, but that there is a possibility it could be prolonged up to six months.

Written by Phoebe Waller-Bridge of "Fleabag" fame, the series started filming in January. It co-stars Sigourney Weaver, Jason Isaacs, Martin Bobb-Semple, Jack Bannon, John Heffernan, Bill Paterson, Paterson Joseph, Sasha Luss, Juliette Motamed, Celia Imrie and August Wittgenstein.

Turner is the third actress to play the character, following Angelina Jolie and Alicia Vikander.
