30 Sep - Venkat Prabhu has recently assured that everything is fine between him and Sivakarthikeyan, despite their project didn't go through as planned.

The filmmaker had to make the clarification in a recent statement on social media, after his father, veteran musician Gangai Amaran claimed that an actor had wasted Venkat's dates and caused his film to be delayed. While Gangai made no mention of the actor's name, many speculated it to be Sivakarthikeyan.

Stressing that the actor has always been a dear friend and a brother to him, Venkat shared, "As a father, when a film involving your own son gets delayed, the frustration is natural. He probably doesn't know the complete picture, and I can't blame him for that. I'm a very quiet person when it comes to my work and don't discuss my professional matters in detail with anyone, including him."

He further added, "The project couldn't take off due to various reasons. That's it. No hard feelings. If the time comes and a good script comes my way, I would love to work with SK again."

He also wished Sivakarthikeyan the best in his new project, stressing that he himself is currently working on his next film.

Meanwhile, the actor, who is currently working on "Seyon," had since responded to the post, saying that they will always be a family.

"Thank you so much for your wishes, sir, and my best wishes for your next project. Sir, I've told you this before, and I'm saying it again - I'll always be a VP fan. Waiting to collaborate with you," he added.
