23 Jun - Although Venkat Prabhu has been gearing up for a new movie with Sivakarthikeyan, the filmmaker is now reportedly taking a detour with a new comedy project.

The director, who previously spoke about working on his new project "SK26" with Sivakarthikeyan, is now reportedly looking to reunite with Jai and Shiva again, following their hit films together, "Chennai 600028" (2007), "Saroja" (2008) and "Goa" (2010).

No further details have been revealed at the time of writing.

It is noted that Venkat's last directorial effort was Vijay's penultimate film, "GOAT (Greatest of All Time)". Following the release, it was revealed that the director had been working with Sivakarthikeyan to shoot their new movie together, and had even travelled to Los Angeles for preproduction work.

However, sources reported that the film has been delayed for now due to the scale of the project.

Meanwhile, Sivakarthikeyan is currently filming his new movie, "Seyon" with director Sivakumar Murugesan.
