13 May - While the movies are ending its era with the upcoming "Fast Forever," it was revealed that Vin Diesel is not retiring the "Fast & Furious" franchise, as he announced more than one series relating to the F&F universe.

In an announcement made on stage at the NBCUniversal upfront presentation on 11 May, the actor-producer revealed that NBCUniversal's streaming service Peacock is launching four shows, with one of them already set up.


Said Vin Diesel, "As you all know, we are very precious about these movies but over the last decade, we've realised that the fans have wanted more, they wanted us to expand the legacy characters, their stories. And for the last decade, the desire has been for us to enter the TV space."

Vin Diesel will be executive producing the series adaptation, written by Mike Daniels. However, no details have been provided regarding the series.

The "Fast & Furious" movie series, which has made more than USD 7 billion worldwide since the first film released in 2001, marks its 25th anniversary this year. The final chapter and 11th movie will be released in March 2028.
