Taxi Driver

Lonely and depressed Travis Bickle is suffering from chronic insomnia, so he becomes a night-time taxi driver in New York City, driving passengers every night. However, night by night, Travis starts to detach himself from reality as he dreams of cleaning up the filthy city. He then falls in love with a pretty campaign worker Betsy and becomes obsessed with the idea of saving the world. He begins to plot an assassination against a presidential candidate, then directing his attentions toward rescuing 12-year-old prostitute named Iris.
