Cameron Diaz and Tom Cruise reunite once again on the silver screen as lovers after "Vanilla Sky" 9 years ago. James Mangold ("Walk The Line", "3:10 To Yuma") directs this action comedy that has Tom Cruise channelling a part of Ethan Hunt but with a new name, Tom Miller and a different quest altogether. June Haven's (Cameron Diaz) life turns upside down when she meets secret agent Tom Miller on a plane. She then gets dragged into a whirlwind chase around the world with a stranger, and yet is attracted to him!

When Tom and Cameron are paired together in a movie, the plot is secondary compared to the acting. Cameron Diaz is back with her charming smile as an ordinary woman on her way home for her sister's wedding but becomes entangled with the FBI, CIA and foreign spies. With a couple of close-up scenes of her and Cruise together, the on-screen chemistry sizzles between them! As for Tom Cruise, his acting is always up to par but this time he manages to deliver action injected with humour especially in his dialogue. The plot is simple and straightforward with plenty of room for the actors to improvise makes this film extremely enjoyable. With an excellent supporting cast such as Peter Sarsgaard ("An Education") as Fitzgerald who tries to convince June that Miller has gone bad, Voila Davis ("Doubt") as CIA Director Isabel George and Jordi Mollà ("Blow", "Bad Boys II") as Spanish kingpin Antonio Quintana, they help make the story even more interesting without stealing the lead actors' thunder.

Synonym to the movie title, Cruise is a modern day knight who is always there to save Diaz, minus the fact that she is in danger partly because of him. The action scenes will be one of the highlights in the movie besides Tom and Cameron's star presence. Moviegoers even get to join them in a high-speed chase in Boston, running on rooftops in Austria and a romantic bike ride with the bulls in Seville, Spain! Coupled with intense action, the humour will leave the audience cracking up as well.

Those who are anticipating how Cruise and Diaz fare as lovers on screen again should definitely catch this movie as we are reminded again why are they both such excellent actors. If you need any more persuasion, you get to see Diaz in a red bikini and Cruise shirtless walking towards the shore! Rated PG13, this movie is suitable to be watched with your younger siblings as well.
