Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol

When a terrorist bombing destroys the Kremlin, the United States government initiates a black ops "ghost protocol" and disavows the entire Impossible Mission Force. Ethan Hunt and his team are to be blamed for the attack, but are allowed to escape as part of a plan to enable them to operate in the dark, outside of their agency. However, Hunt is warned that if any member of his team is captured during their mission, they will be charged as terrorists planning to incite global nuclear war. Ethan (Tom Cruise) is then forced to work with ex-IMF agent Brandt (Jeremy Renner), who knows more about Hunt and his past than even Hunt himself.

Watch this if you liked: "Mission Impossible" franchise

In the previous three instalments of the "Mission Impossible" franchise, the audiences enjoyed placing their eyes on Ethan Hunt's action skills like jumping off buildings, hanging on wires, getting cozy with the incredibly sexy and beautiful ladies, and of course, the classic running away from great explosions. There is no exception for the fourth sequel as you will get to see those scenes again, but executed with different brilliant ideas.

5 years after "Mission Impossible 3", Tom Cruise reprises his role as the macho and courageous IMF agent, Ethan Hunt, in "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol", a live-action directorial debut by Brad Bird, who is best known for his writing and directing effort for animations like "The Incredibles" and "Ratatouille". This movie brings you Hunt and his team's journey from Moscow to Mumbai after the whole Impossible Mission Force gets shut down by the American government due to a shocking terrorist bombing at the Kremlin, Moscow. Together with the assistance of Agent Jane (Paula Patton), Benji (Simon Pegg) and IMF Analyst Brandt (Jeremy Renner), Hunt must work his way out with his compatriots to fight terrorism without their agency's command, in order to clear the team's name and halt the planned global nuclear war.

The stunts performed by 49 year-old Cruise are still able to impress the audiences with his creative and gutsy moves. Without the help from stunt men, he puts on some wild manoeuvres for the exciting plot, especially for the dangerous and breathtaking skyscraper scene at the world's highest building, Burj Khalifa in Dubai. His climbing and gliding motion on the building will hold your breath and make you shed some sweat just like our hero.

Simon Pegg portrays his character with clumsiness to add some humorous flavour to the action-tensed scenes and it works very well for this spy film. His comedic act and dialogues with his co-stars can certainly make you laugh.

Besides that, the movie soundtrack is also good enough to get you on your toes while you pay attention to the fighting, shooting and sprinting scenes along the movie. You will never get tired with the unforgettable 'Mission Impossible' theme. The classic swing music heard at the start collaborates well with Cruise's fist-punching action at the beginning of the story.

Overall, "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol" is entertaining as the storyline is not dull and it gives the audiences the chance to watch the agent operate without the IMF. Go catch the movie as Cruise can prove you that nothing is impossible even for an impossible mission.
