Cars 2
Star race car Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson) and the incomparable tow truck Mater (Larry the Cable Guy) take their friendship to exciting new places in "Cars 2" when they head overseas to compete in the first-ever World Grand Prix to determine the world`s fastest car. But the road to the championship is filled with plenty of potholes, detours and hilarious surprises when Mater gets caught up in an intriguing adventure of his own: international espionage. Torn between assisting McQueen in the high-profile race and towing the line in a top-secret spy mission, Mater`s action-packed journey leads him on an explosive chase through the streets of Japan and Europe, trailed by his friends and watched by the whole world. Adding to the fast-paced fun is a colourful new all-car cast that includes secret agents, menacing villains and international racing competitors.

“Cars” and “The Incredibles”
John Lasseter returns to direct the sequel from the Pixar hit "Cars" (2006) and this time around he gives it a new feel of action and adventure sending our favourite talking cars all over the world while taking out bad guys with accents. Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson) and Tow Mater (Larry the Cable Guy) are back and we see these two friends take on another challenge far from their comfort zone of Radiator Springs.
"Cars 2" brings our beloved talking cars to two different worlds set to both entertain and 'wow' us. Made up of two different story lines, Pixar proves to us that even talking cars travelling all over the world can really give you the chills of excitement. The plot first steers us the direction of Lightning McQueen competing in the first ever World Grand Prix to be the world's fastest racing car. His journey to the number one spot is intertwined with whizzing of lasers and beautiful mix of different cultures when Mater gets himself caught in the middle of an exhilarating spy mission. They then take their friendship to new heights as they travel the world together.
Pixar has shown us the best of the animation world for the past 25 years and they do so once again with "Cars 2". The brilliant details to attention when our cars travel from Tokyo, to Paris, to Italy and finally London give us an amazing cultural experience right from our seats. New main additions to this sequel include Fin McMissile (Michael Caine), Holly Shiftwell (Emily Mortimer) and Miles Axelrod (Eddie Izzard) showing us that sometimes to be a cool car, a British accent might be just the thing you need. Fin and Holly find themselves working with an innocent Mater and it brings the element of humor to the movie. Lightning is made to stand on the second spot this time around as it is Mater's turn to shine.
This Pixar film is not a bad animation film but it isn't Pixar's best after we have seen them do wonders with the "Toy Story" franchise. Maybe it's lacking its spark as the whole story is built around talking cars. It is surely fun and entertaining as the best aspects of different countries are amped up to surround the whole theme of motor oils and engines.
"Cars 2" will definitely send kids into frenzy and we will see them dragging their parents to buy them the toy versions of our favorite car characters.
