A masterpiece by director Guy Ritchie, "Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows" now returns for a mystery laden story as Robert Downey Jr. , Jude Law, Noomi Rapace, Rachel McAdams, Jared Harris and Stephen Fry brace themselves for an action pack sequel that is even bigger and better than its predecessor.
The movie is truly a scenic eye candy, being filmed in beautiful places like London and Victoria Bridge, which is part of the Severn Valley Railway in UK and also Strasburg in France, it is obvious that the filming of this movie was basically done around Europe and UK to capture the witty essence an American setting can't offer.
Ritchie gave the movie a pleasant addition this time around by throwing in a lot of fun from Downey and Jude's role, to provide a more entertaining experience with hilarity guaranteed.
As we all know, the movie follows a much more mischievous Sherlock Holmes than that of the original Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's fictional hero, but this time, Sherlock who has always been the smartest and wisest guy around, meets his match in the form of a big time criminal, Professor Moriarty. The villain possesses an equal par of intellect, and as Sherlock struggles to accept that fact, he goes on a journey with his loyal friend, Dr.Watson (Law) to solve the murder of the Crown Prince of Austria.
The length of this movie may be a little long and without a solid handle on its plot until about midway through, the movie still manages to provide its viewers with a very entertaining experience by seeing Holmes face off against Moriarty on the big screen.
The special effects is indeed at a satisfactory level as there are a lot of gun firing and action scenes that is set to thrill the audience.
In conclusion, the sequel is much recommended to those who are a big fan of Sherlock Holmes' quirky character and also to those who are looking for a fun and exciting movie packed with fast hitting action.
