Before I Go To Sleep

Nicole Kidman plays a Londoner who wakes up every day unable to remember anything about her life. She is told by her husband that she shouldn`t leave the house after suffering a trauma. The woman sneaks off to see a doctor (Mark Strong), who gives her a digital recorder to dictate her thoughts into, with the hope that she will begin to remember who she is. The technique works, although the woman comes to realise the man she shares a bed with is not her husband.

The Good, the Bad and the Amnesia

• This movie sort of reminds you of the suspense thriller films you used to watch in the 90s.

• Though it is not particularly boring, there is no tension in this movie as it does not make you feel restless or nervous even though it is a thriller and mystery.

• This movie does not bring out the true potential of Nicole Kidman and Colin Firth and turns out being a poor man's "Gone Girl" instead.

Trivia

• This was the last feature film to use Fuji 35mm film stock to shoot as the cinematic world transitions to digital production instead.
