The Good, the Bad and the Keeping-It-Cool Act
• The film is a visual eye-candy feast for Chris Evans fans who have loved his more down to earth heartthrob characters as seen in the romantic comedy films "What's Your Number" and "The Nanny Diaries".
• The advantage of this film is having a stellar cast attached to it with a wonderful acting performance that is mostly funny, but it is often brought down by the poor script that may seem predictable at times. Nevertheless, Chris Evans and Michelle Monaghan have great chemistry on screen and their playful banter is fun to watch.
• There are several references to Malaysia, as Chris Evans' character is a scriptwriter who is asked to write a script for an action movie set in Malaysia. The references are mostly about Malaysian women and men that are sexual in nature which the females may find flattering but the guys, not so much.
• The film is an entertaining watch and a decent effort for a modern day romantic comedy, however there are several moments that feel cliched as if they're borrowed scenes from other romantic comedies.
Trivia
• Chris Evans, Anthony Mackie, Ioan Gruffudd, Topher Grace have all previously worked in Marvel Films before.
